FluentCall

Privacy Policy

Draft — last updated 25 October 2026. This draft must be reviewed by a qualified legal professional before public launch.

FluentCall is an AI speaking-practice app for adults. This policy explains what information is processed when you use it.

Who is responsible

The operator's legal name, address and privacy contact have not yet been published. They will be added here before public launch.

Information we store

  • Account details: email address, first name, a hashed password and your confirmation that you are 18 or older.
  • Learning preferences: native language, practice languages, chosen level, topics, weekly goal and time zone.
  • Call records: when each call started and ended, connected time, language, level, topic and the AI model used.
  • Learning reports, only if you turn feedback on. Reports can contain short excerpts of what you said.

Your microphone audio and Google Gemini

During a call your microphone audio is sent directly from your browser to Google's Gemini API so the AI partner can hear and answer you. This happens on every call, whether or not learning feedback is on. FluentCall does not intentionally record or keep your audio.

FluentCall uses Gemini's unpaid tier. Under Google's terms, content sent through unpaid services may be used by Google to provide and improve its products, and may be reviewed by humans. Do not share sensitive personal information during calls. Google's handling of this content is governed by Google's own terms and privacy policy, not by FluentCall.

Optional learning feedback

Feedback is off by default. If you turn it on, Gemini also produces a text transcription of the call. That transcription is kept only in your browser's memory during the call, is sent once to our server at the end, and is passed to a Google Gemini text model to write your report. FluentCall does not save the full transcript; only the finished report is stored.

Browser storage

  • Your sign-in session is kept in your browser's local storage so you stay logged in.
  • Your light/dark theme choice is kept in local storage.
  • FluentCall does not use advertising or analytics cookies and does not install an offline cache. Audio, transcripts and API keys are not saved in your browser.

Why we use this information

To run your account, hold practice calls, enforce fair call limits, show your history and progress, and produce reports you asked for.

How long we keep it

Account data, call records and reports are kept until you delete them or delete your account. Hidden calls still count towards that day's call limit. Deletion removes the data from FluentCall's database; backups and Google's own retention may follow their own schedules.

Your choices and rights

  • Turn learning feedback off at any time in Settings.
  • Delete individual reports or remove calls from History.
  • Delete your account in Settings; this removes your profile, practice languages, call records and reports.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or erase your data, and to complain to a data-protection authority.

Changes

We will update this page if our data handling changes.
